About Me
I studied osteopathy for 4 years at Oxford Brookes university, which qualified me to treat humans. A short time later a friend asked me to help with their dog Bailey who was virtually unable to walk. When I discovered that I could help animals too, I undertook a post-graduate certificate in Animal Osteopathy, and have never looked back. I have been registered with the General Osteopathic Council since 2016, which is the governing body in the UK.
FAQ
Q: Can you treat lameness?
A: Yes, this is one of the most commonly occurring symptoms that I treat. There are many types, arising from countless issues, e.g injury, chronic pain etc.
Q: My dog is shy/unsure of new people. Will this be a problem?
A: No, this has never been an issue. Having had dogs all my life and had brilliant training, I have never encountered a situation where a dog has reacted negatively.
Q: My dog is displaying disruptive and unsettled behaviour, can you help?
A: Animals that misbehave are often uncomfortable or in pain. This is something osteopathic treatment can help to solve.
Q. Do I need vet referral?
A: For some conditions, such as stiffness, general maintenance and post-op or post injury rehab, this is not always required.
However, for more serious, acute or undiagnosed problems, veterinary referral is required before treatment. Please get in contact with me to discuss, before your first session.
